Rita Austin passed away yesterday due to a massive stroke. An inurnment service to celebrate Rita's life will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Danville Memorial Gardens in Danville, VA. The family will receive friends following the service. Cards of condolences can be sent to Rita's daughter and son-in-law, Jason and Lisa Setzer at 4332 Boggs Rd., Claremont, NC, 28610. Please keep this dear family in your prayers in this time of loss.
Jack Marshburn has been admitted to theGreensboro hospital and they are running tests on his heart. Please keep him and his wife Annette in your prayers.
Please continue to pray for Jon Scearce as the doctors have said his wounds are really deep. They have packed them and need them to take and begin healing. 2nd degree burns can turn into 3rd degree burns over time. He is in for a long road to recovery. Please pray for Jon and this dear family in a special way in this difficult time.
Please continue to pray for Bill Torok as he is back in the hospital and they are trying to figure out how to best regulate his heart. Please continue to pray for him and his wife Debbie in a special way.

Jon Scearce's family said he looked better than they were expecting but he is wrapped from the neck down. They are prepping him for surgery for this morning because they feel he is strong enough to begin the surgeries. Please continue to pray for Jon and this dear family in special way.

Jon Scearce, Janie Curtis' grandson, Kimberly Smith and Jennifer Barber's brother, Mandi Merricks and Kristy Curtis' cousin, was in a high voltage incident yesterday. He was electrocuted on a job sit, thrown and has third degree burns. He is very lucky to be alive. He is in the burn unit at Winston Salem and the next 3 days are critical. Jon's daughter also attends our children's programs at times. Please pray for this dear family in a special way, for Jon's pain to be minimal, and wisdom for the medical team caring for him.
Kristy Curtis asks for prayer for her Uncle Norman Beach and his daughter Melissa as she is in ICU with double pneumonia as well as a blood clot in her lung. She is on a ventilator heavily and heavily sedated.
Clinton Waller did not have his eye surgery yet but is scheduled to now have it on Monday 9/22. Thank you for your continued prayers.

Gary Caldwell did not have to stay at Duke. The infection is not in his knee so he will have knee replacement surgery 10/27. Please keep him in your prayers.
Karen Dehart continues to do well following her back surgery. Please continue to pray for her healing and strength.

Nicole Root's Grandmother, Mary Kessler, is at Annie Penn. She has pneumonia and is septic. Please pray for her in a special way.
Johnny White is having inner ear problems and has an appointment with an ENT on 9/24. Please pray that Johnny will feel better soon.
Gary Caldwell is on his way to Duke due to an infection in his lower leg. This is the same leg he is scheduled to have knee replacement surgery on 10/27.
Rita Austin will have surgery on her carotid artery soon. Please keep her in your prayers.
Melvin Collins fell and broke 3 ribs. Please pray for his healing and strength.

Dawayne Dillion did not have any head or spine injuries. He did have broken ribs and a punctured lung. He is in ICU at Roanoke. Please continue to pray for healing for Dawayne.
