Austin Merricks
Youth Pastor
Austin Merricks has been Youth Pastor of Faith Memorial Baptist Church since 2001. Austin is a meek and humble man who loves to study and teach God’s word. Austin attended Liberty University and ministers to the teenagers and their family’s; and they love him. Through his ministry, many souls have come to know Christ as their personal Saviour.
Austin goes beyond his call as Youth Pastor to be involved with many other ministries including our van ministry, hospital and shut-in visitation, Vacation Bible School and much more. We all love Austin and thank the Lord for all the work he does for the cause of Christ.
Austin was ordained in February, 2008. He and his wife, Rhonda, have been married since 1990.
Seth Lackey
Young Families Minister
Seth Lackey comes to Faith Memorial Baptist as the young families and children’s minister. Seth has a background in finance, and has served as Branch Manger and Assistant Vice President in the banking industry. Seth is currently continuing his pastoral ministries education at Liberty University. Seth has been married to his wife Whitney since 2004 and they have two children Britton and Mollie Grace.
Seth’s role is to develop ministries, teach, evangelize, council, out reach, and disciple young families and children for Christ. The philosophy of ministry is to reach the father, reach the family, and develop children of faith. Recognizing it is the role of Parents (Deut 6) to bring children up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. We believe the role of our church is to be the helping hands to these families as they seek to glorify God.
Martha Williamson
Minister of Music
Martha began to study music at the age of 9. She has served as pianist for Faith Memorial since the church was oranized in 1972. Martha is also talented as director of Faith Memorial’s choir. In her spare time, she enjoys sewing, cooking, and family activities. Martha and her husband, Byrdie, have 2 adult children, Adam and Lesley.
Donella Guill
Secretary / Treasurer
Donella is a true asset to Faith Memorial as treasurer and secretary. Donella received an Associates degree from Danville Community College, a Bachelors degree from James Madison University, and received a Masters degree from Averett University. Donella has served as secretary and treasurer of Faith Memorial Baptist Church since 1995, taking the position full-time in August, 2007. Donella and her husband Ben have two children, Ben Guill III and Priscilla.
